More than 30 people joined Frome Renewable Energy Community (FRECo) in Victoria Park to celebrate 10 years of community-owned renewable energy.
The event brought together shareholders, volunteers, collaborators and local residents to reflect on the organisation’s achievements over the past decade and look ahead to future projects.
FRECo member Linnea Hopkins said, “It was a joyful occasion, with familiar faces reconnecting, new conversations beginning and a shared commitment to creating a cleaner, more resilient future for Frome.”
As FRECo begins its second decade, the organisation is inviting the wider community to help shape its priorities through a short survey.
Linnea added, “Your feedback will help inform FRECo’s next chapter, including future projects, community engagement and opportunities for local people to get involved.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate this milestone and to all those who have supported community energy in Frome. We look forward to continuing the journey together.”
