There is still time to see Father Christmas and his elves as they travel around Frome and surrounding villages on a fundraising journey for local causes.
The annual Lions and Rotary clubs have once again been running their annual Santa Float which has been travelling around the streets of Frome. So far, the float, which will run until Saturday 21st December, has been to the Stonebridge area, Packsaddle, Innox Hill and Fromefield.
The team still have plenty of streets left to cover in an effort to raise funds for local charities and organisations and children are reminded to post their handwritten letters to Father Christmas using the postbox on the sleigh.
“Rest assured, boys and girls, that Father Christmas will, as usual, be reading all your letters in time for the delivery of presents, but please make sure you include your name and address so that his helpers can send a response to your letter,” says a member of the Frome Rotary, Richard Lines.
Father Christmas’ helpers in the Frome Rotary and Lions Clubs will be collecting the donations but residents can also donate via the JustGiving page – see link at the end of the story – and also via mobile phone. To donate by text message text SANTAFROME and either 1,3,5,10 or 20 to 70085.
