FROME Friends of Palestine are encouraging people to attend an evening with Hazem Jamjoum – a writer, translator and member of the Palestinian policy network, Al Shabaka.
The event is taking place at Trinity Hall, Trinity Street at 7pm on Saturday 13th April (doors open 6.30pm).
Hazem has recently published a translation of Ghassan Kanafani’s, The Revolution of 1936-39 in Palestine.
“In Frome, in Britain, in Palestine, locally and globally, whatever our background, we are all engaged in a common struggle,” says Hazem. “We are not outsiders looking in on events in Palestine; we can see ourselves as international participants in a common struggle for liberation, equality and peace.”
Cash donations on the door. Tickets can be reserved on the Frome Friends of Palestine Eventbrite page WeAreAllPalestinians.eventbrite.co.uk
