CHILDREN attending the HBC last week were taken on a very special journey into space.
Gina Parsons said, “Last week HBC had a wonderful time with their Space Adventure. The organisers would like to thank Wesley Church for allowing us to use their room, the Story Tellers, and everyone else who helped in any way, and especially the team who worked so hard, not just in the week but also beforehand.
“The Super Loo took off into Space with Connie (Ann) and Lil (Doreen) on board, and they had some fabulous adventures in the sketches, along with Dickie Dom from Domestos, Horace and followers from Harpic, the Jolly Jinglers of Jeyes (all cleaning materials which poor Lil was using to keep the Super Loo clean!)
“The children made rockets, flying saucers, space cakes and alien masks in their craft time.
“The water game on Friday was, as always a bit of a riot, and great fun.
“The aim of the week was to teach the children about the ‘Fruits of the Spirit’ as provided by God to help them in their daily lives, these being kindness, goodness, patience, gentleness, love, joy and faithfulness. Hopefully this was achieved.
“We next meet for a Space Adventure Party on 31st October, so keep a look out for more details nearer that time.”
