A charity golf day at Orchardleigh Golf and Country Club has raised around £3,000 for Dorothy House Hospice Care which provides palliative and end-of-life care.
Held on Saturday 10th August, the event saw the club’s captain and organiser, Jim Worsley, win the H & B Tyres Charity Day Trophy.
“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who either played, sponsored, donated money, raffle prizes or auction lots,” said Jim. “Also, huge thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who helped to make the day run so smoothly. The weather was very kind too.
“The amount raised for this worthy cause was in excess of £3,000; the total final amount will be presented to Dorothy House later in the year.”
