A local author has recorded his new audiobook at the Bert Jansch Studio at the Cheese and Grain.
Chris Smaje recorded his book ‘Finding Lights in a Dark Age: Sharing Land, Work & Craft’ with the help of the studio’s engineer, Milo.
“It was the perfect setting and a nice place to work,” said Chris, whose book explores whether we can run our economy in a way that is kinder to both people and the environment. He says the only alternatives are not free markets on one hand and state control on the other: other ways of doing things are possible.
The book is being published by Chelsea Green, and released on 14th of October in paper and hardback copy, eBook and an audiobook version.
Chris is also hosting a book launch, open to the public, on the same day at the Frome Town Hall. The town hall reception will have full details nearer the time. The book will also be available at Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books.
