Members of a Frome charity have been recognised for their community work after attending a Royal Garden Party at Buckingham Palace.
Frome Birth Talk, which supports new, expecting and bereaved parents, was nominated to attend the event on Friday 8th May, hosted by the Prince and Princess of Wales, William and Catherine.
Frome Birth Talk’s Director, Suzy Cristinacce, and Operations Manager, Lucy Hill, attended the outdoor event alongside others recognised for their work within charitable organisations.
Suzy said, “It was wonderful to have Frome Birth Talk recognised in such a public and celebratory way. Being such a small team, we can sometimes forget what a big difference our charity makes to people in our community and so to be formally recognised for our work at this major event was fantastic.”
Frome Birth Talk offers free and low-cost counselling to anyone who is pregnant or has had or lost a baby within the last two years. It also hosts five drop-in groups per week for parents, as well as monthly baby loss support and LGBTQ+ family social groups.
