Stunned organisers saw around 2,000 people turning out to Frome’s first vegan fair on Sunday 4th February.
The fair, which took place at Frome’s Cheese and Grain, attracted visitors as far as London and the east-coast of England.
Organisers of the event were amazed at the turnout and hailed the fair as a success.
One of the organisers of the event said, “We could have only hoped to see so many people. Many of the stallholders sold out and all of our talks and cooking demonstrations were full to capacity. The event was so popular, we are already in talks to extend the capacity in time for our return on Sunday 16th September.”
The success of the Fair was evident on social media with a stream of positive comments including…
“Lovely day, great atmosphere, loved tasting all the food and attending the lectures upstairs.”
“Thank you! We had a great time. Hope it happens again next year.”
“It was amazing! Definitely need to make this fairly regular: there is clearly an appetite for a more sustainable lifestyle which seeks to protect the planet.”
The next vegan fair will take place on Sunday 16th September. If you would like to keep up to date with Frome vegan fair you can follow them on facebook, instagram and twitter – @fromeveganfair
