Local fundraiser and Frome Person of the Year 2018 Rachel Clark is calling on the community to pre-register for the skittles world record attempt on Sunday 2nd June.
Rachel says “We’re sure we’ll have walk-ups on the day, but if the record attempt is to go ahead, we really need the security of pre-booked players. We’ve made it so easy to register – you can sign up online at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/ skittlesworldrecord or email your name and date of birth to fromeworldrecordskittles@ gmail.com. We’re now accepting registrations from children, following confirmation from Guinness. Players can now be as young as 10, although under 14s will need to have a parent or carer with them. All you have to do is throw three skittles balls and hit at least one pin. If you don’t want to play, we also need stewards and official witnesses to help the day run smoothly and ensure we comply with Guinness regulations. Make sure you’re part of another Frome world record!”
The world record attempt is raising funds for cancer counselling charity We Hear You. To refer yourself for WHY’s free professional counselling service for people affected by cancer or a life threatening condition, call 01373 455255 or email info@wehearyou.org.uk.
