Sauces for rice, pulses, tinned spaghetti and tinned snacks, coffee, soup, tinned cold meat, custard and tinned fruit, noodles and instant snacks and jam.
The need for furniture and household goods has increased considerably. The group is particularly desperate for both single and double beds, duvets and bedding for both sizes, smaller sofas, single chairs, chests of drawers and wardrobes. To contact the Furniture bank please call 07718- 652991
There are food collection boxes in Asda, Sainsbury’s, Frome Funeral Care at Badcox, Barnardo’s, Frome Whole Foods, Westway Co-op, Tesco Express, the Cheese & Grain and now a new one at Budgens food store at the Commerce Park Service Station, Southgate.
“The local food bank continues to be very important in our town,” says the group. “Being able to place a regular article in your newspaper is very helpful and much appreciated by us.
