THIS year, the Woodlanders Music Hall Variety Show’s AGM will be held on Monday 21st June 2021 at 8pm, in the Village Hall, East Woodlands.
Trudi Whittock, secretary for the amateur dramatic group, explains, “If you belong to or know of a local charity or good cause please contact us if you would like to be considered for a donation.
“Each year, the Woodlanders donate the proceeds from their show to the local community. To be considered, applicants need to state the group or organisation they are representing, why they would like a donation and what they would do with the money.
“Requests should be sent to: Mrs T Whittock, Secretary, The Woodlanders, Hillcrest, Windsbatch Lane, Oldford, Frome. BA11 2NN by 20th June 2021.
“The Woodlanders stage Somerset’s longest running music hall and hope to return in October 2021 to entertain you with sketches, songs from shows and possibly even a monologue or two – traditional entertainment for the whole family.
“The group always welcomes new members and anyone interested in joining the group is invited to come along to one of our meetings, due to commence on Mondays (8pm at East Woodlands Village Hall) on 5th July.
