Frome Hearts vs Melksham – Tuesday 20th January
Coming into the game, we were keeping our heads high just coming off of a recent win which keeps us firmly at the top of the table. Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side but in the first quarter with a strong starting 7, our main focus was to play safe passes and we managed to end the first quarter 6-4 ahead.
In the second quarter, we prioritised patience and were able to widen the score to 12-5.
Coming into the third quarter we had two new players on court and were able to hold our lead, ending the quarter 17-10.
During the fourth quarter the weather worsened and the court became much slippier. In this quarter we focused on keeping the lead and playing simple netball. The opposition were able to bring it back but we still ended with the win, the score being 20-16 keeping us at the top of the table.
Special mention to Harriet and Kizzi for earning POM and PP!!
Frome Stars – Devizes Harriers – Thursday 22nd January
Big game… playing the team chasing our tails for top of the leader board. The last time we met we won by one goal so we knew this was going to be a tough match.
Frome came out all guns blazing and had a stella quarter racking up an impressive goal difference. Lovely flow through the court, working like a well-oiled machine.
Second quarter saw a change of pace from Devizes. Still Frome forged on, playing our own game with sturdy defence and calm considered passes into the D to Nat and Liv.
The third quarter saw a bout of heavy rain… never optimal for a fast-paced netball game… the slippery ball meant we lost possession a number of times which Devizes converted to goal and the lead started to shrink.
WA Laura had made a real impact in attack, working well with our energizer bunny C Hannah, but due to injury had to come off court. We were fortunate enough to have Chloe waiting on the side lines and went into the fourth quarter six goals up, but a string of goals from Devizes and some silly mistakes meant the game came down the wire with the final whistle blowing mere seconds after Devizes sank one final crucial shot.
A disappointing result for Frome Stars after putting in such an incredible effort throughout. Small squad, big ambitions… and tonight wasn’t our night. Onwards and upwards we go!!

Frome Stars vs Devizes Kites – 13th January
First game back after Christmas and spirits were high. The team gelled well on court despite a few weeks off with some lovely work from C Hannah and WA Laura, GS Nat and GA Liv.
GD/GK Lucy took home player of the match for her fast feet, excellent comms and stella awareness, constantly guiding and pushing both WD Gi and GD/GK Freya. This match saw the return of GK Bron, we’re thrilled to have her back on court.
Overall a great way to enter the second half of the season and another win under our belt. Final score 61-17 to Frome.

Frome Diamonds vs Westbury Wildcats – 13th January
Despite the final score not going our way, there were many encouraging positives. Our defensive unit was outstanding, applying consistent pressure and forcing numerous turnovers. The defenders worked extremely hard, reading the play well and making it difficult for the opposition to settle into their attacking rhythm and the team produced some lovely passages of play, moving the ball with confidence, and continued to fight from start to finish.
Overall, this was a performance full of promise. The teamwork, work rate, and positive attitude shown across the court provide a strong foundation to build on moving forward.

Frome Hearts vs Westbury Wasps – 13th January
Being the first match of 2026, Hearts were very excited to get back on court and remain at the top of the table. With a fluid play all through court and patience around the circle, we kept our cool and finished our first quarter with an impressive lead of 17-5.
In quarter 2, by keeping a strong mid court and multiple turn overs and interceptions, we kept our lead with the score at half-time being 23-10.
In the third quarter, we managed to widen our lead even further to 33-14.
In the final quarter, we played our own game perfectly, with more beautiful plays throughout court to finish with a 38-16 win!
