LESMON Travel has launched its 2022 holiday tour programme – and are ready to welcome you aboard their fleet of coaches.
At the wheel of the local coach holiday company is Frome couple Mark and Brigitte Wye.
Brigitte joined the company three years ago, leaving her job as a classroom assistant and lollipop lady at a local school – but no one could have foreseen the upheaval she and her husband Mark were about to experience in their lives.
“I had wanted to join Mark in the business for the past 10 years, having seen him going off to all parts of the UK and Europe, just as my mum and dad had done for 20 years before,” said Brigitte. “Raising our three children had always stopped me, but once they were all off to university, I could see an opportunity. However, no sooner had I left my job than things ground to a halt with holidays, and they are only starting to return to some sort of normality in the last few months.”
But as things get back up and running, Mark and Brigitte are proud to launch their 2022 holiday tour programme.
“It is going to be great to see some of our passengers that we have not seen for over 18 months, as well as seeing some that have been fantastic in supporting us on the few tours that we have been able to run this year,” said Mark. “There are several that have been on every tour we have run, and we truly appreciate their support in these difficult times.”
At the end of this year, and through next year they are pleased to be visiting all parts of the UK, from Newquay in Cornwall to Wick, on the north coast of Scotland, and from Porthcawl in South Wales to Cromer in Norfolk, as well as hoping that tours to Europe will be able to recommence as travel restrictions are eased.
As a keen gardener, Brigitte is looking forward to visits to the Eden Project on their Bargain Break tour in February, the Harrogate Flower show and RHS Harlow Carr on the Spring tour and the stunning gardens at Blicking Hall and Royal Sandringham on their tour to Cromer, all by the end of April.
The summer also sees visits to gardens in Ireland on the tour to Waterford, and the biggest rock garden in Europe at Cragside House on their Newcastle tour in the early summer.
“I think Mark has got my hints,” said Brigitte, “as he has included a lot of interesting and stunning gardens. I am really looking forward to visiting the Queen Mother’s Gardens at Castle Mey in Scotland, the Mount Congreve Gardens in Ireland, Dyffryn Gardens in Wales and La Mare Vineyards on Jersey.”
“Historic train rides that we include on some of the tours always prove popular with our passengers,” added Mark, “as they bring back great childhood memories. This year we are planning to visit the Brecon Mountain Steam Railway, the Isle of Wight Steam Railway and will even take in a stunning train journey in the ‘One Hundred Valleys’ near Lake Orta in Italy. There will also be a narrow-gauge railway journey in Ireland and a tour of the Blackpool Illuminations from one of the Historic illuminated trams.”
As always, in 2022 Lesmon Travel aim to provide their customers with a truly memorable great value holiday.
The couple say, “We believe in making your holiday that extra bit special by providing a very personal level of service and, we like to think, a unique holiday experience, from our complimentary door-to-door pick up service, right through to our fully inclusive excursions on all tours.
“We have a relatively small catchment area, so our pick-ups for each tour generally take around an hour from start to finish, something many other companies simply cannot deliver.
“The coaches we use for our holidays are typically only a year or two old, and have all the features you would expect from such modern vehicles, such as climate control, a toilet and tea and coffee facilities. We don’t have any overnight travel on our tours, and make regular stops on the journeys, to make sure you get to enjoy your holiday in full, from the first day to the last.”
Mark had over 20 years’ experience of delivering first-rate customer service in his previous career as a store manager in the food retail industry.
“While the products are different, the importance of good customer services is just as vital now, if not even more so,” he added. “Peace of mind is also important to people booking their holiday and with this in mind we are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with the current ‘The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations’ all passengers booking with Lesmon Travel are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid
“We still have limited availability on the tours for the rest 2021, and the 2022 tours have started selling well, so give us a call so you don’t miss out.
