Sat. 25th Sept. Southern League Div. One South Frome Town 2 Lymington Town 0
GOALS from Marcus Mapstone and Jon Davies earned Town their fourth win of the season and sent them up to third in the league.
The first half saw a number of chances fall to the Robins as they looked to break down a well marshalled defence and an in form goalkeeper.
It took until the 39th minute when Marcus Mapstone rose highest to head in a corner and claim his first goal since November 2019 (Barnstaple away).
The second half followed the pattern of the first with Lymington’s keeper ensuring the score stayed down and that Lymington were still in the game. However, as injury time began Jon Davies provided that bit of magic, that saw a smart finish nestle in the corner before anyone realised the shot was even on.
The result means the Robins remain unbeaten this season and up into third place in the table. With it now being 6 games since the last defeat at Badger’s hill in the league, with only 4 home defeats in the last 30 home league games.
