The Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Frome Hospital (FoFH) has been set for Thursday 3rd February, at 7.00pm in the Moxon Suite at the Community Hospital.
Against the backdrop of proposed radical changes to the NHS and the future running of hospitals, the ‘Friends’ are asking for interest from the public, and would appreciate any questions or suggestions on their future role.
The Friends have been the lead public pressure group over the past decade, raising hundreds of thousands pounds to support the community hospital development programme and providing additional equipment and complimentary patient care services.
Peter Smith, chairman FoFH Trust says, “We are keen to maintain a strong and active link and we will have to adapt to inevitable changes. The Friends have a sound foundation, but we need to keep the public fully involved as and when these changes occur.
“We would like to hear from former patients, relatives and the wider community how we can make an even more meaningful contribution to this wonderful facility which benefits everyone in Frome.”
Questions in advance can be forwarded to the secretary FoFH at rmblidge@tiscali.co.uk
