THERE has been a change in the line-up at this week’s Christmas party at Frome Town Football Club.
Iconic Somerset band, The Wurzels were set to play at the party, this Saturday 18th December, but have had to cancel. Instead, a UB40 tribute act will entertain crowds.
Organisers say, “It’s with a heavy heart we have had to cancel our Wurzels event. Please if you would like your money back for this, please bring your ticket back to us at the football club, we will be able to refund you. You must bring your ticket back.
“However, in replace of this we have a tribute UB40 tribute show playing on the night instead.
“We are willing to refund £12 [tickets for the Wurzels originally cost £22] and you can have your ticket for £10 to join us! Same date, 18th December 7pm till late. For new tickets please call or text 07528 669287.”
Other events lined-up at the club include a children’s Christmas party on Tuesday 21st December, and a New Year’s Eve party to welcome in 2022.
Organisers say, “We then have a children’s party on the 21st December where every child will have a chance to meet Santa. There will also be a disco, face- painting and glitter tattoos.
“We then round the year off with a New Year’s Eve party. On the night we will be holding a charity raffle to raise money for Dorothy House. If anyone can donate prizes, it’s all gratefully received.”
Tickets for all events are available at the Frome Town Football Club. Visit their facebook page for more details.
