TO celebrate International Women’s Day, local emerging DJ, ‘Sara V’ is launching a new monthly dance music show on Frome FM on Saturdays at 8pm, kicking off on 5th March.
‘Sara V’ is the alter-ego of well-known local singer/songwriter, Sara Vian, who was a passionate ‘raver’ back in the late 80s and early 90s and aims to bring back the old-school love and positive good vibes that got her so excited back then – and still do! Her influences are Sister Bliss, early Sasha ‘n’ John Digweed and Fantazia to name a few.
Frome FM’s flagship new music show, Music Eye Radio, which broadcasts every other Monday at 6pm, is also launching a dance music competition to celebrate female vocals!
Any style of dance music is welcome, so send your entries to hello@musiceye.org by Easter Sunday (17th April) and the winner/s will be interviewed and promoted on Music Eye, Frome FM, Somer Valley FM and beyond.
