LOCAL MP, David Warburton, is under investigation by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards.

The MP for Somerton and Frome was suspended from the Conservative Party in April following allegations of sexual harassment.
However, the parliamentary standards commissioner says she is investigating the MP for separate allegations that he broke the code of conduct for MPs on three counts.
The parliamentary standards commissioner’s website says the investigation is looking into alleged code breaches regarding ‘paid advocacy’, ‘declaration of an interest’ and registration of an interest under a category relating to ‘gifts, benefits and hospitality’ from UK sources.
The local MP remains under investigation by Parliament’s harassment watchdog, the Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme, concerning allegations of sexual harassment of three women.
The MP was approached for comment by Frome Times.
