FROME Town FC have celebrated one of their best ever seasons at their annual presentation night and also handed boss Adrian Foster a new contract.
The Robins players, staff and supporters gathered as awards were handed for players who starred for Frome. As well as the customary speeches the following awards were presented: First Team Supporters Player: Darren Chitty. First Team Players Player: Mark Cooper. First Team Managers Player: Darren Chitty. Leading Goalscorer: Ben Wood. Directors Shield: Matt Smith. Club Men of the Year: John Turner & Gordon Perry. There were also presentations for the Apricot Engraving Player of the Month along with recognition medals of 100 appearances for the club by Mark Cooper and 150 appearances by Matt Smith, Ricky Hulbert and Darren Chitty.
The youth team presentation also took place with the following awards presented: Under 18’s Club Man: Dylan Payne. Under 18’s Players Player: Max Walker Wiltshire. Under 18’s Managers Player: Max Walker Wiltshire
The club also celebrated manager Adrian Foster putting pen to paper to a two year contact after terms were agreed.
Having taken over the Robins at Christmas he steered the team away from relegation trouble and comfortably finished mid-table while also finishing as runners-up in the Somerset Premier Cup. Chairman Jeremy Alderman said of the news, “We have been speaking to Adrian for the last couple of months about signing a long term contract and we are really pleased that he sees his future with us and that he knows we are building something really good at Frome. There is no doubting he has been a breath of fresh air since coming in at the tail end of last year and the players have responded to him brilliantly – we can look forward to what we all hope to be a really exciting future.”
Adrian Foster was equally as pleased to have put pen to paper. He said, “I’ve really enjoyed it since being at Frome and when the chairman approached me and said the club wanted to discuss a contract I was really flattered. The discussions went really well and there was no hesitation in getting things officially signed. It’s a signal from the club that they can see what we are trying to achieve, and really that’s also down to the way the players have responded since Christmas as well. With just a couple of additions to the squad I can see us having a great season ahead.”

Radio Cabs have won the shirt draw to become the main sponsors on the first team kit with Paul Cook on away shirts for charity
The club made their kit draw at the presentation evening on 16th May for those companies and individuals who had entered the competition.
The Robins received 30 entries for the draw and current shirt sponsors Lloyd Chamberlain from Blindmans Brewery made the draw. The winning entry was from Andrew Rossiter of Radio Cabs in Yeovil who will see their name on the front of the club’s traditional red shirts for the 2014/15 season. Second place for the club’s yellow away shirts was won by Paul Cook who nominated Samuels Charity as his choice.
The Club’s newly appointed partnership and marketing manager Rob Hayward was delighted with the response to the draw. He said, “We would like to thank all those who took part this year and the support we have received from both businesses and individuals alike has been brilliant and something we can look to build on in the future. All those who entered will be receiving invites in due course to one of the early season league games as part of their entry into the draw.”
Flexi ticket launched
Frome Town will be giving fans even more flexibility when it comes to pricing for next year with the news of the introduction of the flexi-ticket.
With people having other interests and busy lives season tickets aren’t always the answer for everybody, even though they represent great value for money, and it’s for that reason the club have introduced the new ticket which allows supporters the chance to buy 10 matchday tickets in advance and in exchange they will receive two matches completely free. It means you can use them throughout the season and when you are able to.
Tickets are priced at £100 for adults and £70 for concessions and can be purchased by downloading the application form on the club website at www.frometownfc.co.uk or by emailing the club secretary Ian Pearce at ian@frometownfc.co.uk
U16’s going FREE in the league
Frome Town have confirmed their ticket prices for the 2014/15 season with two changes to prices but also made season tickets a far more attractive proposition.
Adult prices will remain at £10.00 for all games while concession prices increase to £7.00 and anybody under the age of 16 will be admitted FREE to all league games and friendlies while cup matches will see a nominal charge of £1.00. Previously only children who were registered playing members of the club were given free entry while now this has been opened up to all young supporters. However there is still the benefit for parents of Frome Town’s younger players with half-price entry upon production of their ID card.
Meanwhile matches in the Southern League Cup and the Somerset Premier Cup will be £7.00 for adults and £5.00 for concessions.
If you want a real saving then the option of a season ticket is available meaning that adults will get five FREE league games and concessions will get SIX free games per season along with all friendly matches. Adult prices are £180 while concessions are £119 and to apply simply download the application form available or pick one up from the Venue & Sports Bar or the club office and submit along with your remittance. The club have also removed the requirement for passport photos to be included on season ticket applications making the process simpler.
