Green Party leader Natalie Bennett is coming to Frome, invited by ‘Engaging Women’, a group of women based in Frome who want to increase female participation and make a contribution to a more inclusive society.
Speaking at Rook Lane Chapel at 7pm on 13th December, her talk is titled “The political system is broken. But what are the alternatives?”
You can buy tickets for £3 through Eventbrite at bit.ly/greenleader. Natalie Bennett will talk about, and take questions on, alternatives to the older parties, and discuss why the established political landscape is disintegrating.
The Green Party candidate for Somerton & Frome, Theo Simon said, “It’s a real sign of how committed Natalie and the Green Party are to getting more women into politics that the leader of the Party has agreed to come and speak in Frome, and we’re really looking forward to it.
“There are so many issues that are important to people in the South West that we can cover during the session, and we would encourage anyone to come along and share in what is sure to be a great evening. The only way we can change our broken political system is by getting involved, so don’t miss this chance.”
You can find the ‘Engaging Women’ group on Facebook or contact Pippa Goldfinger via the Town Council.
