Frome Town Council’s free sessions showing people how to use the equipment at the outdoor gym continue to be a hit with residents.
The October evening session has already been fully booked, but there is still time to register for the Monday morning sessions.
They are great for anyone who has been thinking about using the gym but would like a bit of guidance on how to get started. It is also designed for people who want to learn about all the different exercises you can do on the equipment.
Councillor Gary Collinson said, “These sessions have helped to grow people’s confidence about using the equipment and given Frome’s Outdoor Gym a real boost.”
You don’t have to have any previous experience or be a regular gym-goer to join in with the sessions, all are welcome to attend no matter what their level of fitness is.
It is planned to run more evening and hopefully weekend sessions in the spring. The sessions, which started on 17th September, last 45 minutes and are held on alternate Mondays at 9.30am until 29th October.
