On Wednesday 18th May, the people of Frome’s Catherine Hill were very surprised to see a very special guest.
Her Majesty had gotten her dates confused and arrived on the famous Frome shopping street nearly a month too early for her birthday party.
Ciara Nolan who is organising the party said, “She blamed Charles for continuously writing things incorrectly into her diary and battered him over the head with a Union Jack emblazoned umbrella! Her time was not wasted however as she took to the pretty cobbled street and spent some time getting to know the good people of Frome.
“As she departed, Ma’am was heard to say, ‘Charles, please write June 11th into one’s diary. 10am-5pm, live music, street entertainers, best costume competition (come as any Queen you like), alcoholic beverages and all the necessary ingredients for a right royal knees up in ones honour! One wouldn’t miss it for the world!’’
“Do come along good people of Frome, you wouldn’t want Ma’am to be disappointed now would you?”
