FROM early December this year, rail users in Frome will see a new timetable offering extended services and more stops.
A new timetable due to be introduced from 11th December will see an additional two trains per day from London Waterloo to Frome, bringing the total to three journeys a day.
There will also be a Sunday evening service added from Frome to London Waterloo stopping in Westbury, Warminster and Clapham Junction.
Speaking last year when the consultation into new services was on-going, councillor Peter Macfadyen said, “While my heart is in building Frome’s independence and ability to stand alone, it is clear to me that improved links to the outside world are a good thing. This new service is not only about London, it will also allow all kinds of trips to local towns for work, training or shopping without long waits – as well as bringing more visitors to Frome”
