FROME’S award-winning IT support company has a new-look and a new name, ‘geekingITsimple’.
Formerly known as Frometech, ‘geekingITsimple’ has also made some changes behind the scenes – closing their residental IT support service and showroom on Vallis Way, allowing them to expand and grow their business IT support service.
The company now provides IT and technology services to local businesses, schools and charities within a 15-mile radius of Frome – with the level of support offered tailored to the needs of each customer.
Founding director, Jamie Seviour told Frome Times, “I am really excited, it is the right time to make these changes. The business has grown so that we can now offer the level of service required by businesses – we have the expertise and skill-set required.
“Residential IT support was the core of our business – it is how it all started when I founded the business in 2013, working out of a garage. So there were lots of sleepless nights before making the decision to close the service.
“Some customers have been disappointed by the news, but they understand why we have done this. The IT sector is progressing and business-to-business support is the way to go. I would like to say thank you to all our residential customers who have supported us and helped us get to this point.
“By closing our residential support service we have freed up our technical team, who can now offer more support to our longest-standing customers like Frome College.
“We can now also offer our services further afield – we now support businesses from Bath down to Yeovil and also in Wells, Street and Glastonbury. We are also trying to offer a service to offices in more remote towns.”
Despite the big changes, one thing remains consistent at ‘geekingITsimple’, staying connected to the Frome community.
Jamie explains, “Frometech has always been part of the community and this will be no different at ‘geekingITsimple’. We will continue to be involved in the town council’s ‘Discuss & Do’, business breakfasts, and other events in the town. The Frome community is important to us, so we will strive to maintain this.”
