As part of their ‘Books Against Loneliness’ campaign, Winstone’s Hunting Raven Books is proud to present two authors who tackle the subject of loneliness head on and offer hope in the shape of community and connection.
Authors Libby Page (The Lido) and Richard Roper (Something to Live For) are at the forefront of feel-good fiction. Though their novels deal with some of society’s biggest ills – loneliness, gentrification, and social disconnection – they are shot through with humour, hope, and warm-heartedness. They also share the same sense of community spirit that has helped to put Frome firmly on the map.
At this warm and friendly evening event, Libby and Richard will talk about their books and about the importance of community and connection. The event will take place at Frome Town Hall (Christchurch Street West) on Tuesday 18th June (doors at 7pm).
Tickets are £5 and can be bought online at www./ bit.ly/LibbyRichard, by calling 01373 473111, emailing winstonebooks3 @gmail.com or from Hunting Raven Books (Cheap Street, Frome). Entry is free for members and volunteers of Active and in Touch, a local charity that work tirelessly to provide support and a sense of connection for those living with loneliness in and around the Frome area.
