The Good Heart is celebrating its seventh anniversary this summer, with the team inviting the whole town to join them for a joyful evening of food, music and dancing.
The birthday celebration will take place on Friday 25th July, from 7pm to 10pm at Trinity Church Hall.
“It promises to be a lively night with a fabulous Cajun band, a Cajun-inspired supper and plenty of games, prizes and dancing,” said director of The Good Heart Alison Murdoch.
“Tickets cost £23.50, which includes dinner, fete tokens for games, and a welcome drink. All profits will go directly towards The Good Heart’s community projects.
“Volunteers are also warmly welcomed – and will receive a free ticket and dinner in return for helping out on the night.”
Located on Palmer Street in the centre of Frome, The Good Heart is a not-for-profit community space dedicated to kindness in action. Over the past seven years, it has become a hub for initiatives that support emotional wellbeing, connection and compassion.
“Our birthday party is a chance to celebrate all we’ve achieved over the last seven years,” said Alison. “It’s also an opportunity for us to raise vital funds for our vital ongoing projects as well as next year’s Kindness Festival. Everybody is invited, whether you’ve been involved with the organisation before, want to support the work we do or just love a good party.”
Highlights from the past year include the fourth annual Kindness Festival in March, which reached over 3,000 local children and young people, ran 55 community events and filled Frome with messages and acts of kindness.
The Frome Grief Network, funded by Frome Town Council, is the group’s latest initiative, aiming to strengthen support for bereaved people across the town.
Other regular offerings include the Pay It Forward Café, Tiny Hearts mornings for under-5s and their carers, a Men’s Circle, a Dying Matters drop-in and Open Mental Health sessions.

Alison said, “So, if you fancy a Friday night filled with good food, good music and even better company – come and celebrate seven years of kindness in Frome.”
