Frome Art for Wellbeing (formerly known as Frome SODA) held a well-attended exhibition throughout the Frome Festival kindly hosted by St John’s Church.
In the course of the exhibition people were invited to place a vote for their favourite painting in the box on the stewards’ table, with the chance to win their choice. This event proved so popular that the voting slips had twice to be reprinted!
There was a wide range of choices but when the votes were counted the top three were Waterfall by Teresa Fox; Young Kingfisher by Clive Irvine Gizzie and Full Moon by Andy Graham.
Teresa won a voucher to be spent at Studio Art and Frame in Frome.
All the votes were then returned to the box and artist Kate Cochrane, who tutored the group on their return meeting after the end of the Festival’ kindly drew for the People’s Choice prize: Andy Graham’s Full Moon, chosen by John Henderson. John’s wife Alison is shown receiving the painting on John’s behalf.
