PARSONS bakery at Badcox were crowned winners of a ‘blind mince pie’ tasting competition in December run by local business, Engine.
The website design company went around all the local shops purchasing many different types of mince pies that were available for their ‘Mince Pie World Cup 2019’. They then did a blind taste test and Parsons Bakery were awarded the top prize.
Manager Sarah Ilott said, “The guys from Engine come into the bakery last month with the trophy they had taken the time out to make. It was made from lots of mince pie foil dishes, shaped like a trophy and sprayed gold.
“All of our customers love seeing the trophy on our counter!”
