Bath Consort make the first of three visits to Frome on Friday 21st September at 7.30pm.
Dressed in Baroque costume and often performing by candlelight, this acclaimed ensemble have given concerts in Bath and Corsham over the past five years and now come to Frome for the first time, at St John’s Church.
Soprano Julia O’Connor and mezzo-soprano, Marie Elliott, will sing Lost is my Quiet, a selection of beautiful Baroque arias and duets by composers including Purcell, Bach, Handel and Dowlan, accompanied by Matthew Spring (lute and theorbo), Linda Stocks (cello) and Jacquelyn Bevan (harpsichord); the varied programme also includes movements of J S Bach’s viola da gamba sonatas.
