A LOCAL author has written a new children’s book and he is donating funds from sales to support the World Food Programme which looks to provide food relief in emergencies around the world.
Benny the Boar is a short tale about ‘the lovable Benjamin T. Boar esq’ – aimed at ages five to eight and was written by Frome resident Martin Sheills.
Martin, who moved to Frome earlier this year said, “Benny the boar is a brief spiel by a colourful four-legged fellow, who gives the reader a charming introduction to his life as he wanders around his woodland home.
“The book was printed around the time of the recent flare up of conflict in Israel and Palestine. I was looking for a way to support the people of Gaza and chose the United Nation’s World Food Programme for its transparency and effectiveness in providing emergency humanitarian aid.”
Copies of the book are available on Etsy at https://shorturl.at/ ahqEQ Alternatively, you can search Benny the Boar by Martin Sheills on Etsy.
