FROME author Laurence McJannet will be holding a book launch of his new publication, Bikepacking: Mountain Bike Camping Adventures on the Wild Trails of Britain, on Saturday 28th May 11am -12pm.
Laurence will be available to talk about his adventures making the book, and will be bringing down the bike and equipment he used on his journeys across the UK. Signed copies will be available.
Bikepacking, from the publishers of the hugely popular Wild Swimming series, explores one of this year’s hottest trends – the fusion of mountain biking and minimalist wild camping.
Part guide book, part travelogue, Bikepacking explores 30 wild rides across Britain, from Scotland’s Westerns Isles and the mountains across Wales to the Jurassic coast and the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor. With plenty of tips for the novice bikepacker, advice on micro adventures for all the family, and ideas for creating your own adventure rides, it is the ideal book for anyone who loves exploring the great outdoors.

Bikepacking is Laurence McJannet’s first book. He is magazine journalist and custom bike builder and has lived in Frome for over 11 years.
