Saturday 5th October is Bookshop Day and Hunting Raven is celebrating in style; hosting a poetry performance from viral sensation Liv Torc, a signing with celebrated children’s author Emma Carroll, and a special offer on two standout titles from indie publisher Faber & Faber as part of Frome’s ‘Fiver Fest’.
Somerset-based author, Emma Carroll will be signing copies of her latest children’s book ‘The Somerset Tsunami’ (Bookseller Association’s Children’s Book of the Month) from 12.30pm and Liv Torc – whose poem ‘The Human Emergency’ went viral globally – will be performing in the shop at 2pm. ‘The Somerset Tsunami’ will be available at just £5 to mark Fiver Fest – a celebration of Frome’s brilliant independent retailers.
So that there’s something for the adults too, John Lanchester’s Booker-longlisted dystopian novel ‘The Wall’ will also be on sale for the special price of £5 (while stocks last).
