Fair Frome Furniture Bank supports referred clients in need of furniture and white goods.
They report, “A constant request, that we are unable to meet in particular, are electric cookers. We currently have two months of funding left, that we can use to repair electrical items, so if you have a cooker that is not working, which you believe could be repaired please contact us at Fair Frome, details below. Working electric cookers are also gratefully received.
“We are always in need of washing machines, fridges and freezers as well. On the furniture front, single and double beds are in great demand.”
Wendy Miller-Williams, co-ordinator of Fair Frome said, “The Fair Frome Furniture Bank represents the only free facility for recycled furniture and white goods locally. We work closely with all of the relevant support agencies that refer clients to us and can report that over just six months this year, a total of 107 people benefitted from 342 items. If anyone can help by donating working or broken (repairable) electric cookers, that would be great, as we have a waiting list of recipients.
