This popular candlelit Carol Concert returns to Christ Church in this month.
Once again Christ Church in all its Christmas splendour is hosting a festive carol concert to support Fair Frome which runs the local Food Bank and other services designed to meet the needs of those in acute financial need. So get into the Christmas mood at Christ Church this Saturday, 16th December, from 6-7pm.
A dozen voices sing carols, new and old including the English premiere of a new arrangement by Peter Backhouse of the French carol, ” Il est ne, le divine enfant ” which features the lowland pipes, played by expert Rupert White.
There will be seasonal poems and readings, strings, wind instruments, organ and piano. Donations for Fair Frome on the door of £5 or whatever you can afford, which includes a warming glass of mulled wine.
“Fair Frome would like to thank all the organisers and performers for hosting this event which is a very valuable fund raiser for the organisation. This event has taken place for a number of years and has always delighted its audience, so please come along and join us.”
