CHRIST Church, on Christchurch Street West, will be hosting two special events this month as part of its 200th anniversary celebrations.
This Sunday, 16th September, Christ Church celebrates 200 years since it was consecrated in 1818, with an anniversary church service with the Bishop of Bath and Wells at 10am.
Light refreshments will be served at the end of the service and everyone is welcome to attend.
Later in the month on Saturday 29th September, the church welcomes Nick Edwards for a candlelit organ recital from 8pm-9pm.
Music will include light classics including Handel’s ‘The Arrival of the Queen of Sheba’, ‘The Cuckoo and the Nightingale’, and works by Bach, Fauré, Karl Jenkins and more. Entry costs £5 on the door. Wine and soft drinks will be available. Doors open at 7.30pm.
