The award-winning conservation architect, George Chedburn RIBA, is to give an illustrated talk about Great Elm’s Grade I listed church building.
The talk will take place at St Mary Magdalene Church, Great Elm, on Thursday 27 February, with doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm. He will outline what is special about this church and his approach to conserving, restoring and refurbishment of some of the 230 churches in Somerset, with which he has been involved.
George is senior partner of Chedburn Codd, historic building consultants, is a panel member of the Bath & Wells Board of theDiocesan Advisory Committee and a resident of Great Elm.
Donations on the night are welcomed in support of the church. Mulled cider, soft drinks and filled rolls will be provided.
