Orchardleigh Golf Club Ladies section held their Club Championships on 1st and 2nd August.
Loes deKleuver won the club championship for the second year running, and it was a close run event this year with four players within two shots of each other going into the second round, with Loes eventually winning by one shot.
The winner for day one: Silver gross 1st Sarah Hynds, 2nd Loes deKleuver. Silver Nett 1st Sarah Hynds, 2nd Sarah Doble. Bronze Gross and Nett 1st Jackie Pudney, 2nd Vron Jefferies.
Day 2 winners: Silver Gross 1st Anne Regler, 2nd Helga Grundy-Wheeler. Silver Nett 1st Helga Grundy-Wheeler 2nd Sarah Doble. Bronze Gross 1st Jackie Pudney, 2nd Anne Kirk. Bronze Nett 1st Jackie Pudney, 2nd Connie Gilchrist.
Overall winners: Harris Trophy, club champion – Loes deKleuver. Claret Jug, runner up- Anne Regler. 3rd Trophy – Sarah Doble. Wilder cup – Sarah Doble. Louis Goblet – Jackie Pudney. Dicken Cup – Jackie Pudney.
