Local comedy theatre company, Rare Species, is bringing an exercise class with a difference to Frome, offering people the chance to workout like they’re on a night-out, to music from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
‘Mojo Moves’ combines comedy and immersive theatre with a proper aerobic workout. The new regular fitness class is held every Tuesday at St Mary’s Parish Hall at 6.30-7.30pm and every Friday at the HUBnub Centre at 9.30-10.30am, and again at 6.15-7.15pm.
Rare Species member, Ginny Adams says, “Find your USP (Unique Sassy Pizzazz) – there’s no such thing as a wrong move, you’re just bringing your own flavour and it tastes good!
“See your bingo wings take flight, your muffin tops melt away and work your pelvic floor on the dance floor. Stretch your inner diva and reclaim your mojo back from the universe.
“No pain, no pain – just no pain (apart from laughing ’til it hurts).”
Classes cost £6 and bookings can be made at rarespeciesuk@gmail.com. Neon attire is optional.
The comedy group will also be offering ‘Mojo Moves’ for free in the summer after winning funding from Frome Town Council’s people’s budget. Dates and venue are yet to be confirmed.
