MAYOR of Frome, councilor Toby Eliot, will be holding a big farewell party soon as he prepares to hand over the chain of office next month.
Every year, Frome’s mayor selects community groups to support during their year and cllr Eliot is this year supporting Active and in Touch, for whom he will raise money with an end of year bash on Friday 19th May.
Cllr Eliot said, “This charity fundraiser is an evening of live entertainment at the new Town Hall to celebrate the end of my time as mayor.”
The evening will feature comedy from Tim O’Connor and music from The Al O’Kane Band, The Back Wood Redeemers and DJ Sheilasoul. Tickets cost £10 and all proceeds go to Active and In Touch. Tickets can be bought at www.buytickets.at/frometowncouncil/89955 or from the Town Hall.
Cllr Eliot added, “The event will also celebrate my love of a good hat, so please do wear a hat – the best hat will win a prize! The event will take place on Friday 19th May from 8pm and is open to all.”
