FROME Jazz Club welcomes two exciting acts to the Cornerhouse in the coming weeks.
This Sunday, 27th May, the jazz club presents Confluence with UK sax player Jon Lloyd.
Jon will appear alongside a quartet which includes his long-time collaborator and Frome Jazz Club piano star John Law, and the group will present music inspired by the ECM record label.
The event is being held at the Cornerhouse pub and entry is free. Doors open at 7pm. More information can be found at: www.facebook.com/events/209261532987459
On Thursday 7th June, multi-genre composer, experimental electronic musician, virtuoso jazz bassist, and founder of legendary UK trip-hop act Earthling, Dr Andy Keep takes to the stage with his show ‘Expect Anything Again’.
Dr Andy Keep is famous for his raw, edgy, experimental soundscapes. Bristol jazz and funk fans remember fondly his 13-year residence at the Old Duke with Code Red, legendary for tearing up the rule book.
When Andy moved to Frome in November, the jazz club quickly booked him to perform and his quartet tore the house down. Now they’re back to dance in the ruins.
Entry is free to the Cornerhouse, doors 8pm. More information at: www.facebook.com/events/345343379294282
