THERE is something for everyone at this year’s Corsley Show on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August from 10am.
The annual horse and pony show, dog show and horticulture and crafts tent return this year as well as children’s sports, equestrian stunt teams, trade stalls and more.
With gates open to the public at 10am, organisers have managed a jampacked programme throughout the day with activities for children, adults and canines.
The show has been held in Corsley for over 100 years and aims to entertain you with a fun-filled day out for the family.
Organisers say, “Who grew the biggest marrow? The most beautiful dahlia? Who won the kids’ egg-and-spoon race? Mums and dads can join in the tug o’war against the kids too! Who won the dressage competition? Bring along your pampered pooch, the dog show caters for pedigrees, all sorts and there’s even a class for ‘Best Six Legs’ (that’s you and your dog, it’s not a freak show!).
“We’ll have the usual tug o’war, so get your teams sorted out to win beer vouchers. All sounding a bit too energetic? No problem, there’s the beer tent where you can relax with your favourite tipple whilst the band entertain you, or visit the tea tent where you can while away the afternoon stuffing your face with a cream tea.
“Feel free to wander round browsing (and buying!) some fabulous local produce and crafts to take home. Kids can enjoy tractor-drawn trailer rides and some great funfair activities.
“We hope you enjoy our lovely show!”
Tickets are available on the gate for £8 per adult, £3 per child between the age of 7-16 and free for children aged 6 and under. There is also a family ticket available for 2 adults and up to 3 children at £20.
There is free parking available at the showground and it lies on the A362 between Warminster and Frome in the shadow of Cley Hill, close to Centerparcs and the Longleat estate.
There is disabled access to all areas of the showground and disabled access to toilets.
