Frome and District Cats Protection is looking for more volunteers to help at events.
Pam Coward, co-ordinator at the charity said, “So often more than one event occurs on the same day and it is difficult to find enough volunteers to help. If you feel that you could offer a few hours occasionally it would be much appreciated. You need not feel obliged to stay all day, just a couple of hours would make a big difference. It would be a great help also if there are any drivers who would be prepared to help set up and take down the stall.
“We are also holding a “Paw-some Afternoon Tea” occasion on Saturday 27th May at 6 Warleigh Close, Frome. There is no charge for this, but donations will be appreciated.
Our stall at events is a very important part of our fundraising. We have so many unwanted and stray cats needing help, often medical attention too. Whenever we can we take them into one of our pens where they receive loving care from one of our fosterers, they are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, and when our vets are happy that they are in good health, we will do our best to find them their forever home.
“If you feel that you could give us a few hours of your time, please ring our contact number 07733 390345 and we will be delighted to hear from you.”
