WOULD you like a career in Communications and Marketing, with a focus on content creation and art working and event admin?
Frome Town Council is offering two part-time summer placements for enthusiastic people to develop skills in these important areas and to support the Council’s projects.
Rachel Griffin, Marketing and Communications Manager at Frome Town Council who is recruiting for the placement said, “The council has a whole host of community initiatives to promote from Choose Play, Neighbourhood Networks and community engagement at our events to supporting our visitor offer and delivering our first Great Big Green Healthy Week. The placements are ideal for post A-Level, college or university students wanting to brush up their skills and gain real time work experience over the summer.
“Competition for jobs, particularly for young people, is at an all-time high. Having relevant work experience is a key way to differentiate yourself. It’s also an exciting time to get involved with Frome Town Council as we are developing a range of innovative projects and are leading the way in community engagement and sustainability.
“Our summer placements have gone on to be successful in a number of careers with one of our summer placements subsequently staying on with the council to become a project assistant which has been fantastic.”
The times and dates of the placements are flexible but it is anticipated the placements will be for two days a week over the summer months for six weeks. A £50 a week bursary will be provided for each placement. To apply go to https://www.frometowncouncil.gov.uk/job-opportunities/ by 26th July.
