A charity helping people with social isolation and mental health challenges has been awarded a £600 grant funding boost from the Asda Foundation.
Dogs for Health provides a range of therapy dogs, walk and talk groups, individual and group sessions and specialist therapy dogs to help in social care settings.
Recently, members of the charity in Frome were presented with a cheque by Jackie Scott, who is Frome Asda’s community champion. She said, “I was very pleased to meet Mark, Ruth and Radek who are all volunteers with this wonderful charity.”
The Asda Foundation supports small, grassroots group, at the heart of communities.
If you think you could be a volunteer and have an hour to spare a week (with or without a dog), email info@dogsforhealth.org
