THE Memorial Theatre has a busy line-up of music and entertainment for the coming months.
Friday 27th September 7.30pm – One Night of Elvis. Lee Memphis King, Europe’s most successful Elvis Presley tribute artist, recreates the essence of the King with consummate ease and an almost unbelievable combination of stunningly accurate vocals and incredible passion.
Over the last 10 years as Lee has toured his ‘One Night of Elvis’ he has picked up numerous accolades and has headlined and sold out some of the most prestigious venues across the UK and beyond. In August 2016 he completed a sell-out concert tour of Israel, performing to over 8,000 fans.
Lee Memphis King portrays Elvis Presley at his peak celebrating the iconic ‘Vegas Years’ from 1969 – 1977. Resplendent in the most authentic costumes from Elvis’s performance and an orchestra backing, this incredible performer prepare to be taken back in time to see Elvis in the way it was. This brand new production is dedicated entirely to the ‘Vegas Years’ when Elvis would perform in Las Vegas and tour throughout the US and Canada – the definitive record of these performances are contained in the films ‘Elvis- That’s the Way It Is’, ‘Elvis On Tour’ and the ‘Aloha from Hawaii’ concert.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see how a community Theatre works. Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the theatre, and to have a chat with our existing volunteers and the Theatre’s Trustees about their roles.
Frome Memorial Theatre is run entirely by a dedicated staff of 100+ volunteers. We are always looking for new volunteers to join us, with current vacancies in our Kiosk, Box Office, Front of House, Marketing and Backstage/ Technical teams.
The theatre can offer you training opportunities, additional skills for your CV and a chance to meet new people and have fun.

Saturday 26th OctoberJoe Brown – The 60th Anniversary Tour. Premier rock ‘n’ roll legend Joe Brown has gone from strength to strength as his contemporary achievements continued to gather momentum. His ‘Very Best Of’ album achieved Gold Record Status and was on the UK charts for eight weeks staying four weeks in the Top 20 and in the same year his 50th anniversary was celebrated with a wonderful sell-out show at the Royal Albert Hall and his new Ukulele Album caused a similar stir and broke new territory for Joe in the download market where he is now a Spotify Legend. He has continued to break box office records and recently received MOJO magazine’s coveted Outstanding Contribution To Music Award as well as a much deserved MBE.
Joe won over a whole new generation of fans performing on Later With Jools Holland; playing his part closing the show at the concert For George Harrison and with a critically acclaimed set at Glastonbury Festival, proving what a terrific live talent he is.
In 2017 and 2018 Joe broke with tradition and toured without a band just taking US Legend Henry Gross along and were rapturously received by audiences who came in record numbers to confirm that as a raconteur and performer Joe is second to none.
