Fair Frome are delighted to invite you to their official launch event on Tuesday 22nd July from 7.00-8.30pm at the Silk Mill, Frome.
Fair Frome staff and trustees will be joined by guests and the town’s Mayor Peter MacFadyen. There will be live music in an evening of celebration and discussion.
The event will highlight Fair Frome’s progress to date and the exciting start of the Fair Frome Food Bank. Those coming to join in the event are asked to ‘bring a can’ of non-perishable food such as tinned meat, fish or vegetables or a bag of pasta or rice, to donate to the Food Bank, which needs to build up a three tonne stock to start distributing food parcels in October 2014.
The Food Bank will work in partnership with organisations, schools and churches across Frome, and representatives from those are especially welcome to the event.
Refreshments will be available throughout the evening, with all proceeds going to the charity. Fair Frome also delivers other community projects including Community Dining events, a Kitchen Utensil project and a Washing Project and there will be information available on the evening.
Bob Ashford, Chair of trustees said, “This will be a great chance for the whole community to come together and celebrate the work of Fair Frome. We are looking forward to the launch of the Fair Frome Food Bank which will have a direct impact on our community.”
The event will be an opportunity to find out about volunteering opportunities at Fair Frome, meet the team and pledge your support to the project.
