‘A Journey with Dragons and Dreams’ follows the story of adopted teenage twins Jack and Lottie, after discovering they have been hidden on Earth, and find that now, evil enemies are gathering.
Holidaying in the mountains of Andalucia, Spain, the first dragon appears. Shocked, they begin to learn the secrets of why they are hidden, the great danger that threatens them, and the mystery they will have to unravel about a magician and his warrior wife.
While an evil menace threatens them on Earth, a new mystical galaxy, concealed in the whispering universe, begins to open before them.
Battling the malevollent, dark creates of chaoes and ruin, with new friends and protectors, the twins start a perilous journey of discovery to find their destiny.
Derek has spent his life as a poet, writer, and musician. He co-edited two poetry magazines and had several pieces of work published in well-known anthologies of the time and a small volume of his own work. He was also one of the prime instigators of the Hydrogren Jukebox Show – a group of writers, musicians and actors who performed poetry, music and mini plays in schools and halls across Southwest England.
Realising that amongst the blossoming talent of those days he would not make it as a writer, he turned to a full working life at the University of Bristol. He trained as a medical photographer and ended up as CEO of a clinical training centre.
He retired to pursue a writing career of stories and songs (still attempting to become a musician) some of which had lain dormant for many years. He has also spent much of the last twenty years motorcycling, with his partner, around Spain. He lives and writes in Somerset and Andalucia.
Derek said, “I am deeply indebted to family and friends that have managed, in a very busy world, to follow the journey and continue to do so. Their early enthusiasm and comments have made this a better book.”
The book is new in to Hunting Raven Books and is also available on Amazon.
