The Frome Agricultural and Cheese Show returns this weekend on Saturday 13th September, promising an ‘unforgettable day’ packed with food, farming, and lots of cheese.
At the heart of the event is the prestigious Global Cheese Awards, attracting entries from across the globe. In the bustling Cheese Pavilion, visitors can sample award-winning varieties, meet the cheesemakers and learn about the history of the Cheese Show.
New for 2025, the Village Green will see Moto Stunts International, delivering adrenalin- pumping motorcycle displays, including high-speed ramp jumps, crossover quad stunts and gravity defying leaps over cars, vans and even tractors.
Alongside the stunt action, the Village Green will host a programme of live demonstrations and rural showcases, including falconry, the entertaining come-bye sheep and duck herding, the high-speed mounted games and the gentle giants that are the heavy horses.
In the Livestock Village, visitors can enjoy close encounters with cattle, sheep, dairy goats and pygmy goats. The Sheep Show returns once again with its unique blend of humour and education, featuring dancing sheep and live shearing demonstrations.
The Music Stage will provide the perfect soundtrack to the day, with Frome favourites, The Hammervilles, known for their high-energy rock covers spanning the 1970s to today. They will be joined by the much-loved Frome Town Band, with additional acts to be announced in the lead up to the Show.
That’s not all as visitors can also enjoy the thrilling gate jumping competition, the grand parade of livestock, a nostalgic display of vintage vehicles, and the horticulture and home and handicraft exhibits that celebrate the skills and creativity of local makers and growers.
For families, the Little Showgoers’ Play Zone is back, bigger and better than ever. With completely free entertainment including pottery painting, sand art, face painting and even a Land Rover safari.
