ORGANISERS are calling on people to support the Frome Independent Market which will take place in the town centre on Sunday 4th May.
The monthly market has proved popular since it restarted in March this year and has helped promote local artisans, local groups, charities and young entrepreneurs.
Organiser Tabitha Clayson said, “Come along to find the usual fantastic range of designers in Market Place and vintage experts in the Flea. Grab some unique products from our suitcase traders on Catherine Hill and listen to some home-grown tunes on the market stage.
“For food fans, this market will be a slice of heaven – not only will The Frome Independent provide you with a whole heap of local artisan and street food but Somerset Farmers’ Market will be bursting with springtime local ingredients to take home with you too.
“To burn off all that local fare, there’s always dancing and fun to be had at the Village Green with the Vintage Mobile Disco or try out the once only obstacle course proposed by artist Peter Liversidge as part of Foreground’s art project Instructions for an Ordinary Utopia. Foreground will also be selling Ruth Proctor ‘Something Wonderful Will Happen’ t-shirts, badges, postcards and stickers as well as Peter Liversidge’s Proposals for Frome books and running free art activities inspired by Simon and Tom Bloor’s sculpture in the courtyard behind Ellenbray.
“All this and more on Sunday 4th May. See you on market day!”
The event is on from 10am-3pm with parking free in the town. For more information visit www.the fromeindependent.org.uk
