A FORMER organist and choirmaster of Holy Trinity Church, Trinity Street, has published his first book, ‘A Miscellany of Writings’.
Michael Clark, who was with the church from 1963 to 1968, also practised as an accountant, with a number of clients in Frome.
“I have very happy memories of my time at Holy Trinity Church,” said Michael. “My wife, Margaret, died in November 2017 and, particularly since that time, I have spent much time writing. Now, in my ninetieth year, I have published a book featuring reflections on a long life, a love of history and a passion for France.”
The book is described as a ‘condensed autobiography of a varied, happy and fulfilling eighty-eight years’. It covers events in Michael’s life such as a first family holiday in France, visits to a cathedral city and a seaside town, exploring the battlefields of The Somme and Ypres Salient, and the end of the Great War.
Michael’s book is now available at Amazon, bookshops, and a copy has been accepted by the Radstock Museum Library.
